Baltimore’s own LMB Trelly has a story that’s as gripping as his music. With over a decade in the Hip Hop and R&B scene, Trelly embodies authenticity, resilience, and creativity. Hailing from some of Baltimore’s toughest neighborhoods, his life has been a mix of challenges and triumphs that fuel his distinct sound and storytelling.
Trelly’s music journey started in the Eastern area of Baltimore, where the Lafayette and Clay Courts Apartments became the backdrop of his early life. By sixth grade, he moved to Echodale, forming lifelong bonds with friends who would shape the foundation of his artistry. Together, they created unforgettable moments—house parties, dice games, and the inception of MDM Music Group, which became a pillar of his legacy. His first release, “Got It On My Own”, and its music video in 2014 introduced Trelly’s raw talent and storytelling to Baltimore, laying the groundwork for a promising career.
Tragedy struck in 2015 when Trelly lost two of his closest friends, QDoug and 40 Cal, to violence in their neighborhood. The grief pushed him into a hiatus, with no releases or performances until 2022. Emerging from that silence, Trelly dropped Infinity, marking his return to music with the depth of someone who has lived through loss and found a way forward.
Despite the setbacks, Trelly’s career boasts significant milestones. His first show at Club Paparazzi—a sold-out headline performance—cemented his reputation as an electrifying presence on stage. He has since co-headlined Bliss Nightclub alongside No Cap during the CIAA Tournament Weekend, been featured in UndergroundRadar, and opened for King Los at a Baltimore tour stop. Beyond music, his first merchandise line sold out in just one hour, a testament to his loyal fanbase.
Trelly’s latest release, Mode/He Told, is a testament to his introspection and authenticity. Produced by StunnaMade, the track is a self-reflective narrative where Trelly vents about life’s hurdles that have slowed his pursuit of greatness. The accompanying music video, shot spontaneously in just 30 minutes, captures the raw energy and camaraderie of his circle. Directed by JoJo of Not Average Productions, it features scenes from everyday locations that mirror the song’s grounded, personal vibe.
When describing his sound, Trelly emphasizes originality. His music often blends melodic acoustic elements with deep 808s and piano-driven beats reminiscent of Zaytoven’s style. Whether it’s a heartfelt ballad or a hard-hitting track, Trelly’s lyrics and cadence breathe fresh air into the genre.
