Eli Beth was born into a musical family. Her well-rounded appreciation for music comes from many opportunities of exposure. As a child, her mom sang her American Standards from Nat King Cole and Doris Day. Having her formative years in Chapel Hill, NC afforded her international friendships which adds a global aspect to her appreciation of music. She grew up watching older movies with her grandpa, usually musicals, one of her favorites being, “Singing in the Rain”. Now, she’s had exposure to popular music of several other genres and actively seeks fresh new music from lesser known avenues.
Her first public vocal performance was in high school. It was a Jamie Cullum song, “That Old Devil Moon”. Also during high school, she was an active performer for their theater shows and her love for the stage carried on after she graduated. At age 19, she began booking shows in a professional manner to showcase her vocal talent for classical American Standards, Jazz, and Bossa Novas.
Also while she was young, she started dancing in jazz, tap, ballet, and modern. She’s added to these dancing skills and continues studying to harness them when useful.
When she’s not filming for a project, she’s putting on live performances as a Jazz vocalist and has transitioned to R&B/Soul as a recording artist.
